Christian Thomsen (1860–1921) was a Danish sculptor. He was employed at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory, Royal Copenhagen from 1898 until his death. He is considered one of the most influential royal Danish sculptors of the 20th century. He produced over 100 figurines, including figures from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, animals,etc.

Royal Copenhagen, officially the Royal Porcelain Factory: Den Kongelige Porcelænsfabrik), is a Danish manufacturer of porcelain products and was founded in Copenhagen in 1775. It is recognized by its factory mark, the three wavy lines above each other, symbolizing Denmark's three water ways: Storebælt, Lillebælt and Øresund.
