Ruda Cobalt Blue Glass Bowl
Designer Göte Augustsson
Ruda Glassworks was a Swedish glassworks that was founded in 1920 and closed down in 1972.
Göte Augustsson worked at Ruda glassworks and is primarily known for his glass series from the 1960s, Cobolt and Green Rustik. All the series were produced using the carbon cut technique, an old technique where the decoration is engraved in the soft carbon molds which were cheap to produce and which led to the "brutalist" shape of design. Augustsson work is represented at, among others, the National Museum in Stockholm.
